Theo Geldenhuys and his sons Thean, Francois and Naude manage Geldenhuys Wildtelers. They farm on Le Rouxrivier, Glen Harry, Pietersrus, Arbeidsgenot and Rebliek and the farms are situated in Vryburg, Stella and Mafikeng areas.
Theo started farming with eland, gemsbuck, blesbuck, waterbuck, hartebeest, zebra, impala, springbuck and giraffe in 1990 and in 2008 took on scarce game species like buffalo, roan, gold Oryx, sables, Nyala, copper and yellow blesbuck, split black impala, copper springbuck and tsessebe.
Some of Gendenhuys Wildtelers top breeding animals include:
- Sable – Zambian Bull (Z230) originally bought from Tina de Jager and sold to Stefan Naude. The Bull was measured at 43” in 2012.
- Maree 46.5” bought from Hannes Maree
- Buffalo Cows (that measures up to 35”) handpicked from various breeders
- Roan bull purchased from Glen Lyon and cows from Wintershoek.
They believe that the game industry is responsible for the conservation and sustainability of top genetics. Geldenhuys Wildtelers aims to deliver top quality bloodlines and genetics to the market and being part of the Xtreme Wildlife Group gives us the opportunity to share and learn from some of the top breeders in the industry.
